At OpenProject, we are dedicated to building the leading open-source project management software. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an Account Manager who is passionate about customer success, adept at remote collaboration, and excited to contribute to the evolution of our platform.
Your Mission:
As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers maximize their use of OpenProject. You will be their guide and advocate, helping them through onboarding, training, and beyond. Your responsibilities will include:
- Customer engagement: Maintain regular contact with existing clients, providing them with training, onboarding, and support. Upsell and renew plans in a friendly and efficient manner via phone and written communication through our CRM.
- Training & consulting: Deliver training and consulting sessions in both German and English, either online or on-site, in close collaboration with our training team.
- Product demos: Schedule and conduct demo sessions for potential and existing clients, tailoring them to specific customer requirements.
- Proactive outreach: Reach out to customers to ensure timely renewals and promote additional services or user licenses as needed.
- Customer satisfaction: Identify and tailor solutions to meet individual customer needs, ensuring timely responses and recommending best practices.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Provide valuable feedback to our product, marketing, and sales teams based on customer interactions. Work closely with all team members to deliver a top-notch experience for both current and potential users.
- Documentation: Identify common use cases and document them to assist customers and interested users in making the most out of OpenProject.
What You Bring:
- Language proficiency: Fluent in both English and German, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Experience: Previous experience in customer success, sales, or training/consulting, ideally within a tech/SaaS company. Experience in a scaling or startup environment is a plus.
- CRM expertise: Familiarity with CRM systems and data management tools.
- Communication skills: Strong communication skills with a proactive and empathetic approach to customer service.
- Passion for Open source: A genuine interest in open source software and its community.
- Additional skills: Proficiency in French or Spanish is a plus. Experience with OpenProject is also advantageous.
